Hello, world.

I am not new to blogging but decided that it is time I moved away from platforms owned by corporations and companies with the motivation to hack your attention; track and invade your privacy and eventually utilize the information for their vested interests.

I dabbled with the idea of hosting this blog on Github or S3 after generating it through Hugo (a static site generator) or using a self-hosted Ghost CMS installation on AWS, but then decided against it too, for the reason that here I want to focus on writing and writing only with little to no backend tweaking (not that it doesn't interest me). Eventually I settled on WriteFreely platform and its managed service Write.as which has a strong privacy policy, and I have no reason to doubt it because their business model looks clear: sell PRO subscriptions, not data, to make money.

Looking forward to write more. Peace.
